Developing Your Creative Practice Award

After months of difficulties and not being able to work due to COVID19, I had some exciting news. My application for a development grant was approved!!! Arts Council England is funding me for a year to work on and develop my creative practice.

And it could not have come at a better moment. After 12 years of running my practice, building it up and focusing on sales to make it viable. Now is the time to look at what I have done and where I want to go next - take stock and try new things.

I had this idea od a new pastel with a new texture and line quality for a while. Now I want to find the right ingredients and test, test and test to get a softer thicker line that I have in mind.

THE plan :

• DEVELOP a new type of my pastels

• TRAVEL to Japan and research materials and find inspirations

• MAKE new work

• SHOW the new body of work alongside photographs of the journey
