Anja Lubach, Jo Davies and me had this fantastic show at the CPA Gallery Ceramic Centre London.
CPA Chairmen Jeremy Nichols and Ceramic Review Editor Karen Bray in conversation at the private view.
We certainly had some Ceramic A-List visitors coming to our opening night.
The beauty about ceramic art - most likely you are allowed to touch and experience the surface of a piece. Anja’s work is highly tactile.
This large vessel I made specifically for porcelain3. Working with porcelain clay on the wheel is a technical , I wanted to challenge myself for this exciting opportunity. The vase features my signature red interior glaze and monochrome exterior. It is one of my largest pieces I made to date - and it sold in the first week after opening the exhibition.
For all three of us it was a very successful event that showed off what we can do with white clay. The same material but very different approaches.
