Throwing challenging forms in porcelain

This intensive throwing weekend will focus on throwing interesting and challenging porcelain forms. You'll explore both single-piece throwing (such as bottles or “friends’ vases”) and multipart constructions for larger pieces like moon jars.

Katharina's throwing approach is influenced by Austrian and German traditions. She will introduce you to a range of tools she has gathered in over 30 years—throwing sticks, ox tongue, disks, cards—and emphasise a disciplined approach to the workspace and wheel.
