July Open Weekends: New Work, New Stories
This July feels especially exciting. For the first time this year, I’ll be welcoming guests on all four weekends of the month, opening my space to visitors throughout July — and there will be something truly new to experience.
Over the past months, I’ve been immersed in an Artist Residency in Japan, a period of focused making, observing, and learning that has deeply influenced my practice. The work I created there marks a fresh chapter for me, and I’m thrilled to be sharing it publicly for the first time.
Japan offered a unique rhythm: quiet intensity, attention to detail, and a strong connection between tradition and contemporary life. These qualities have filtered into the new pieces — sometimes subtly, sometimes boldly — shaping materials, forms, and ideas in unexpected ways. The residency gave me space to experiment, reflect, and push my work in directions I couldn’t have anticipated before arriving.
Opening my doors every weekend in July feels like the perfect way to mark this moment. It’s an invitation not just to see new work, but to step into a conversation about place, process, and transformation. Whether you’ve followed my practice for years or are encountering it for the first time, I hope these weekends offer time to look closely, ask questions, and enjoy the atmosphere of the studio.
Each weekend will be a little different, shaped by the people who visit and the stories that emerge. I’m very much looking forward to welcoming you, sharing what I’ve been working on, and celebrating this new body of work together.
All four weekends in July — I hope you’ll come by.
